What is Your Biggest Fear?
Dalia, a senior, has quite an odd fear. She has a strange, yet interesting fear of ostriches.
Her parents would take her and her siblings to a place called Ostrich Land. There, you could pet and feed the tall, yet tame birds. Dalia was only about five years old. Compared to the ostriches, she was tiny.
Recently, her family passed by the Ostrich Land and saw that it wasn’t there anymore. Dalia was glad that happened because there would be no more scary ostriches. However, she still gets scared at the mention of the giant bird.

Varsity Panthers Meet Their Match in the Eagles

Sadly, this week’s game was not a victory for us, the Panthers, but like always the varsity team tried their absolute best to get the win. Highlights include a 20 yard field goal by Marcos Barajas, a 20 yard touchdown run by Anthony Estrada, a tip interception by Roman Garcia to Marcos Barajas, and fumble recoveries by Anthony Estrada. The Panthers are excited to use what they have learned from this experience against the Saints this Friday!

Spotify is a free music app on smartphones that allows you to listen to any of the 20 million songs available. You're also able to share music playlists with anyone and discover new genres of music. Spotify can act as a radio as well, just like Pandora does. However, Spotify has the latest songs that artists release whereas Pandora does not.
Spotify Premium costs $10/month. This version of Spotify has the same features as the free app; however, you can choose any specific song and can save as many of them as you want so that you can listen to any of them without Wi-Fi. You can get this app in the iTunes Store or on Google Play.

Isaac Gonzalez (11): I really like it because it lets you access a lot of different kinds of music and discover new music as well. Even if it's $10 a month, it's totally a worth a month of unlimited songs.
What Are You Wearing for Spirit Week?
It's SPIRIT WEEK! Tuesday is Sports Day, Wednesday is Fashion Disaster Day, Thursday is Timeline Day, and Friday is PANTHER PRIDE DAY! During lunch this Friday, there will also be a big football rally in the amphitheater for our game against Santa Maria High School. So dress up and show some school spirit. Then you can look for pics of you and your friends here in the Panther Tales!
