Panthers Take on the Titans in Their First Game of the Season
Pioneer Valley's varsity football team started out their season this past Friday night with a game against Nipomo HS. Although PV lost, Head Coach John Ruiz is optimistic about the future. Due to the graduation of so many senior football players, this year’s team is very young. Ruiz noted, “Although our weakness is inexperience, our team’s strength is leadership and unity!"
How do you feel about performing in the band during this year’s football season?

Kayla Alarcon, a sophomore here at PV, went to Six Flags Magic Mountain and visited the Santa Barbara County Fair in Santa Maria. She explained, "It was special because they were both places I had never been to before and I got to go there with my friends." From riding the Drop of Doom at Six Flags to eating funnel cake at the fair, Kayla had a memorable summer. Moved by her experiences, she confessed, "The most special moments aren't the ones you plan, but the ones you live."
