SR Panoramic: Living the Dream
Thanksgiving Comes Early for FFA

Last night Pioneer Valley FFA had their Thanksgiving meeting. Members came out to support the program as well as to have fun. Our Panthers put their game faces on to participate in some thrilling games such as Donut On a String, Bobbing for Apples, and Get the Ping Pong Balls Out. Afterwards, members sat down and enjoyed the dinner provided by the leadership class. The night ended with many FFA members trying to be the last one standing in the game of musical chairs. The winner had the opportunity to throw whipped cream at the officer of their choice.

Thanksgiving Traditions

Most families have their own Thanksgiving traditions on Thanksgiving Day. It is common for families to go around the table one at a time saying what they are thankful for this year, before they begin to eat their Thanksgiving turkey. For most the menu consists of mashed potatoes with gravy, corn, ham, the list goes on! There are so many possible traditions that really show how unique and special every single family is. Whatever you do during this holiday season, it's fun to spend time with your family and live in the moment of these special times.

Israel Gomez (10), “We eat turkey, talk, and just hangout as a family.”

Steven De L Cruz (9), “Before we eat our turkey, we go around the table and we each say what we’re thankful for."

Cacilda Ramirez (11), “My family usually eats turkey in the afternoon and then we bake a cake together for dessert. After that, we look back at family photos and cherish the memories.”

Isaac Rodriguez (12), “My family from Arizona comes over and we have three turkeys for everyone to eat. For dinner, we have banana nut cream pie and after that we watch any football games that are on.”
