Panthers vs Warriors; The Fight for the Helmet

The last regular football game of the season is TONIGHT! PV will take on the Warriors at Righetti and battle for the coveted game helmet. This is not an ordinary helmet though, one half is black and the other half is purple, with both the panther and warrior logos on it. Last year, with 10 seconds left in the game, Andrew Prado (graduated) scored the last touchdown to win the game and brought the helmet home.

Players to watch this week: from righetti, keep your eyes on #26 DeAndre Thomas. It is rumored that as a running back, he is really good at juking out defensive players for big gains. For PV, keep your eyes on Cedrick Pullen. Whatever position you catch him at, he will be putting in work either at corner, wide receiver, or quarter back.

Coach Delemontes says that, “Righetti thinks that this game will be a walk in the park.” We will see about that. PVs record is 4-5 and righetti is 2-7. The game kicks off at 7 pm. Good luck tonight Panthers, and hang on to that helmet!

This is the helmet PV and Righetti fight for every year. We won the years of 06, 08, 09, and 14. They have won 07, 10, 11, 12, and 13.

Ever Been Embarrassed by Your Parents?

We all have those dreadful moments where our parents embarrass us. Whether it being sharing old baby pictures with our friends or simply making fun of us, they can be embarrassing sometimes. However, through all of that, we still love them. Those embarrassing moments maybe cringe worthy now, but in the future those are memories we will enjoy reflecting on.

Rose Anaya (12)  "I was at Olive Garden with my family for my birthday and my mom kept telling the waiters that they had nice butts. It was so awkward."

Vanessa Ortiz (12) "I went to Target with my dad when I was younger and he left me in the shopping cart while he was putting the stuff in the car. He wasn’t paying attention and I started to roll away and almost got hit by a car."

Catalina Lopez (12) "I was at the Farmers Market with my family and I wandered off because I got bored and went to check out this guy that was playing music. This random cute college guy came up and started talking to me and out of nowhere my mom comes up and looks at him. Then she said 'Who are you? Leave my daughter alone.' And made him leave."
