Mother's Day is this Sunday!

Mother's Day is a special day once a year when you can celebrate your mother. Our mothers have always been there for us, to help us and pick us up when we're feeling down. Where would we be without our mothers? They are smart and caring women that know what's best for us. It is this special day, May 8th, that we can show them how thankful we are for them. You can show your mother how much you love her by taking her out somewhere to celebrate and making or buying her a meaningful gift. I asked a few Panthers how they would be celebrating Mother's Day this year.

-Jasmin Ramos

Michelle Diaz (10), "For Mother's Day, my siblings and I are taking my mom to Los Angeles. We're going to take my mom out to eat at a restaurant called Mariscos and Sushi, and I'm buying her flowers and a card."

Ronald Mendoza (12), "I'm not going to give my mom a gift on Mother's Day, because she'd expect it. I'm going to do something for her a few days after, so that I can surprise her and show her how much she means to me."

Marcos Garcia (12), "I'm getting my mom chocolates for Mother's Day, because I love her."

Jennifer Zarate (10), "I'm going to buy my mom roses for Mother's Day, because she's always there when I need her, and I wouldn't be where I am today without her."

Summer Movie Results

-Catalina Lopez

These upcoming summer movies have most of us excited to channel our inner child. The majority of the student body has grown up watching them, patiently waiting for their sequels. These classic Disney and Pixar films are a part of their childhood, and these upcoming summer movies are sure to bring out that child-like spirit. Hopefully the sequels of these timeless movies can live up to our expectations.

This week’s survey showed that Incredibles 2 is the summer film that the student body is most looking forward to. The first movie came out back in 2004, and has left us eagerly waiting for a conclusion. Due to the long wait, many people thought that the story of the Parr family would remain an open ending. Luckily, Disney and Pixar will finally continue the story of the Incredibles. The first movie ended with a new villain, The Underminer, arising from the ground, planning to take over the city. Hopefully, we can see the Incredibles family and their friends save everyone from harm once again.

CLUMSY

He never sorted

Things out.

He always dropped

His noodles after getting them.

He burned his

Ex's clothes

Just to find

They were his.

He said he was

Lonely, but that

Someone would

Call him.

He left himself a voicemail of cats

Meowing.

He told me he loved

Himself.
