Japan Revealed Part 3

McDonalds is the most popular fast food restaurant in Japan. Here is report of my visiting American McDonalds for the first time:

I had a good dinner experinece but wondered why there are just a few customers in there. And as I guess, because there are many another hamburger places in America that Japan does not have.

-Emika Morita

I ordered egg muffin, which is from the breakfast menu, at night. Many Japanese want All Day Breakfast, but it is unfulfilled yet. I think the Japanese are just jealous. Taste of fries are exactly same and it made me happy.

For desert, I got chocolate fudge ice cream which I’d never gotten. It was rich and sweet.

McDonalds is cool culture of America for me. Here are some Japanese original menu you have never seen:

French fries with chocolate sauce. It appeared recently and I’ve never tried. You’d feel it is crazy, but it is so good according to Japanese people who tried that. You will like if you like the taste of salty and sweet like salt caramel chocolate.

Teriyaki burger. Teriyaki is sweet soy sauce. This is my favorite.

FFA's Spring Break Judging Trip Proves Fruitful

This spring break, PV FFA's very own Fruit Tree Judging team, B.I.G. Team, and Livestock team competed in the annual Modesto Jr College Field Day. The team left early Friday morning. They made several stops at different orchards and farms. Arriving at Modesto, the team checked in to the Clarion Hotel in which they had an adventurous afternoon. The team bonded over dinner at John's Incredible Pizza and ended the night with a late night swim in the indoor pool. "Modesto is one of my favorite trips because we always have fun!" says Daniel Segura.

Early the next day all teams got into their blue corduroy jackets and prepared to compete against chapters from all over the state. PV's Livestock team received an award for outstanding reasons. While PV's Fruit Tree team received a sub award for each class. Luis Soto, received a sub award for 3/4 classes, Daniel Segura received an award for a class, as well as Mona Garcia. During the awards ceremony, Fruit Tree placed 3rd overall and Luis Soto placed 4th highest individual and Mona Garcia placed 5th highest individual. The judging trip was a great success!

Monterey Bay Aquarium

Are you looking for something amazing to do this summer? The Monterey Bay Aquarium is a public aquarium that has so many fascinating and different types of fish and sea creatures to see. It is one of California's main attractions that many parents take their kids to see for the first time. The general admission for tickets are: $39.95 per adult, $24.95 per child, $34.95 per student, and $34.95 per senior.

At the aquarium, there are so many fish that you can touch as they swim by. In different areas and locations of the Monterey Bay Aquarium, there are sharks, penguins, jellyfish, otters, and more. On a schedule that you are given, they show times for penguin feedings, otter feedings, and lots of different tours around the aquarium. It's a great place to travel to if you are looking for a little adventure.
