Escape From Tarkov Reviewed

Escape From Tarkov is a survivalist game similar to H1Z1. This game has its ups and downs and has no release date so far, but it is believed to come out sometime this year. This MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) world has thousands of locations around this city at the break of war. It takes place in the border city between Europe and Russia. You are a survivor from the war, and similar to Black Ops 2, you choose the way you play. As the survivor you survive from BEAR or USEC, your choice, and you try to escape the city but as you try to escape you soon find out all the secrets of Tarkov and why it's shut down from the rest of the world.

I like the realistic reality they're going for and the graphics, the graphics are AMAZING!!!. I love the sneak/surprise thing they're doing too. It's not like a run and gun game. I love how it is almost like The Division, just a different place and a different scenario, but it's still similar. You need to repair your guns and find supplies to stay alive. You can join friends and raid, that’s amazing, but if you die, you lose everything you've fought and worked hard for. That’s the realistic thing I am talking about.

Cheerleading Tryouts Begin!

Cheerleading Tryouts/Workshop week has officially started! The workshop is for soon to be freshman (8th graders) and grades up to upcoming seniors (right now juniors). Each girl and boy hopefuls will be learning various chants, jumps, a dance, and other cheer skills that will be required to be performed during the day of try outs this Saturday morning and afternoon. As the process goes on each hopeful will be graded and watched by the senior staff of cheerleaders who will continue running the try out process. Cheer is for the spirited, dedicated and want to be a supportive role of our school! If you are reading this and want to try out for cheerleading come and talk to Coach Jen after school at 3 PM in the 550's buildings by the cafeteria. Be spirited, have fun, sparkle and lead your panthers!

"I think it will be hard and they will very judgmental (try-out judges). It's my first time (cheering) and it's varsity. I'm excited for try-outs, it's a little difficult but I'm getting there."

-Gary Arias (11)

"I feel like it's going to be very intense and difficult and it will take a lot of dedication since it's my first year. I'm excited and nervous for try-outs." -Victor Leyva (10)

"I do feel it will be more difficult than JV but I can do it because of my (cheer) experience. I am very excited to start cheering again especially Varsity and I know I'll be doing more things and having more fun."

Daredevil Reviewed

Daredevil is not only a Marvel Comic, but in the summer of 2015, it became a show exclusively on Netflix. The show is about a guy named Matt Murdock who is a lawyer by day and a hero by night. But he is no ordinary superhero. He became blind at a young age. When he was a little boy, he saved a man from getting hit by a car by pushing the man out of the way. He got hit by the car himself and the car continued on, eventually hitting a tank that leaks onto the street and ruptures onto Matt. He was blinded by the radioactive substance that was inside of the tank. It blinded him, but also enhanced his senses.

His father is a boxer who is soon killed by gangsters, because he did not do what they wanted him to do. Matt gets trained by an assassin named Stick to put his new found senses to better use. It is not until years later when he is older that Matt Murdock realizes he can protect the city and decides to become Daredevil.

Personally, I love this show because it has action, romance, and more. I'm not all that interested in superhero movies/shows, but this show is amazing. The main character, Charlie Cox, plays the role of Matt Murdock perfectly! He has an amazing personality with both humor and charm. I definitely recommend everyone to give this show a chance and watch it because once you start, you will not be able to stop.
