The Odd Couple Opens Tomorrow

Come to Pioneer Valley Drama department's next show, The Odd Couple! This comedy will have you in tears due to all the laughter! This play follows the story of Olive and Florence, two friends who decide to move in together, but is their friendship strong enough to handle moose calls and linguine? Tickets are $5 for students & seniors and $7 for general admission. The performances will take place in the drama room this Wednesday, March 16th to Saturday, March 19th at 7pm. The house opens at 6:30, and we do not reserve seats. We will have concessions before the show and during intermission. Hope to see you there!
SAAS Tours San Francisco Colleges
The SAAS (Student Academic Achievement Seminar) college field trip took place last Friday and went to San Francisco. They visited University of San Francisco & San Francisco State. A total of 49 students from our local high schools went, 14 were from PV. It was great opportunity for the students to see two different college campuses & talk to a few college students!

Irrationality, Or Pi?
Yesterday was March 14th. March 14th or 3/14 is known as Pi day; celebrated by the genius math lovers, it is the mathematical constant of pi. The epitome of irrational, pi represents what many irrational numbers cannot like constant refreshment of a variation of numbers, in no particular order. Pi represents the ratio circumference of a circle divided by its diameter, much likely abbreviated to 3.14. The digits can be a long stretch of numbers beginning with the simplest 3.141592653 and so on. Wondering why this particular date is important is a must, especially if it is in the year 2016. If a math genius were to round Pi to the ten-thousandth, it would result in 3.1416, making the long string of infinite numbers even more marvelous to ponder about.
Millions of undiscovered numbers have laid a path for human kind and its developing growth. To make pi a much more interesting topic, imagine looking through the millions of numbers and finding important dates. Books can even be found from this irrational, suspicious and bewildering infinite string of digits. Numbers can define the evolution of what comes next, the future if it must be said but, pi is a beautiful meaning to life itself
