Academic Excellence Awards Night

-Catalina Lopez

Pioneer Valley High School celebrated the academic excellence of the students. They recognized 361 students for achieving a GPA of 3.8 or higher. Of this group, 186 students were honored for achieving a GPA of 4.0 or higher by being recognized as Distinguished Scholars. The recipients received awards for the spring and fall of 2015.

Good Luck Winter Guard!!!

So tomorrow is the very first winter guard competition of 2016 that PVHS Winter Guard team will be performing in. The team is so pumped up to be able to be going to Bakersfield and represent Pioneer Valley. Here are a few of the team members and how they feel about the upcoming competition!

"As Co Captain I feel very proud to have made it this far with this team. They gave me the pleasure of working with them despite our ups and downs. My body is packed with enthusiasm and excitement towards this upcoming competition"

"I'm excited, mainly because I've never done this before and really want to place and prove a lot of people wrong. We are great and will do great.

-Israel Miguel Sanchez Guerro (11th)

"I'm really nervous, but I also can’t wait! We are going to do great; we worked hard and now it’s all so close. We are going to put on a great show and this will be an amazing experience"
