Are You Going To Sadies?

The Sadie's Dance is right around the corner and you know what that means! It's the social norm to have the guy ask the girl to the dance but now we're switching things up so the girl asks the guy. Last year the dance was canceled because not enough people bought their tickets in time. So everybody needs to put on their dancing shoes and go buy their tickets now! Tickets are only $12 and that includes a 5x7 pic with frame!!

-Jasmin Ramos & Shelvy Sanchez

Sedyna Tovar (12), "I'd go to Sadie's if I had someone to ask and also if it didn’t get canceled. I've never gone to Sadies."

Laura Flores (12), "Yeah, I might go. It's my senior year, even though the year has been stressful so far."

Carlos Morales (9), "Yes, I'd go to Sadie's because it would be fun to go with my best friend."

Steven Coriel (10), "Yes I would go to Sadie's because I think it would be fun."

Michael Ruiz (12), "I would go to Sadie's if someone asked me to go."

Patty Rubio (11), "Perhaps I'd go to Sadie's."

-Alan VanNostrand

It’s time to bust out the BBQ pits and coolers, because super bowl is now upon us. The bets are on, the squares are set, and the new flat screen TV has been put in place! Everyone has their traditions or rituals for Super Bowl Sunday. It will be the 15-1 panthers vs. the 14-2 broncos! We asked these panthers what they do on Super Bowl Sunday.

“I’m going down to the bay area for the game. I’m going to be with my family and bbq. I’m hoping the broncos win this year.” Says Omar Gutierrez (11)

“I will be at my uncle’s house and we will watch the game on his new flat screen TV. I think the panthers may win because of a 15-1 season, that’s it.” Says Willie Pena (9).

“I’m gonna be at a party with my family. We are gonna have a family reunion and play squares.” says Marcos Campos (11)

“I’m gonna go to a Super Bowl party with a couple of my teammates this Sunday. In my opinion it’s gonna be a good game so I can’t choose who is gonna win.” Says Micheal Pompa. (11)

It’s that time of the year again, when two NFL teams face off against each other in the biggest football game ever! But this isn’t just any ordinary Super Bowl game, it’s Super Bowl 50, which speaks for itself as the 50th Super Bowl game ever since it started in 1965. So, who do you think is going to win; the North Carolina Panthers (you gotta like that name) or the Denver Broncos? Catch the game on Sunday, February 7th 3:30 PM on CBS!

Joseph Gonzales (11) says, “It's going to be the Broncos that'll win because defense wins the game.”

“It’s going to be the Panthers because Cam Newton is unstoppable!”

-Luis Camacho (11)

"I think the Panthers are going to win because they had an amazing year." -Jacob Mata (11)

How to Prepare for Super Bowl 50

-Jose Bernal

The biggest football event of the year is approaching upon us, and it seems that not a lot of you are prepared for it. So to help you diehard Football fans, here's some tips to be the king of the block.

  1. The best set up. If you want the best living room you must have the cleanest living room. Pick up all trash, dust the floors, clean the windows, etc. No one likes an untidy living room.

  2. Make sure there is room for everyone. If there isn’t enough space for all your fans, improvise. Move furniture and add chairs, but be sure to have enough room for your guests to wander around.

  3. The coolest decorations. As seen above, you must have the fanciest swag in your house. Just make sure that they don’t disturb your guests' viewing area.

  4. The food. Stale corn chips and week-old bean dip isn’t going to help. Pick out the most go-to dishes for parties such as burgers, hotdogs, and pizza, sides such as salsa and chips, as well as sodas like as Coca-Cola.

  5. Most importantly, the technology. I’m not trying to bankrupt you, if you want the whole football experience get a HDTV with pictures so sharp they could cut your eyes and the best surround system set that will make your ears bleed.*

So there you go, the best way to get the most out of your Super Bowl 50 party. With these tips, you’ll be the talk of the town! **
